Nano engineers at the University of California San Diego are developing smartwatches, phones, etc. that we use in our daily lives. A "wearable microsystem" that harvests and stores energy from the human body to power small technologies, such as they developed.
This developed micro-system consists of three main parts.
1- Motion operated part called tribo-electric generators
2- Section that works with biofuel cells activated by sweat
3- The section consisting of supercapacitors that store all these different types of energy
The part of the designed system, consisting of triboelectric generators and working with motion, is applied to the outer part of the clothing, to the arms and waist area, by the screen-printing method.
The part that works with sweat, that is, biofuel, is applied to the inside of the garment using the screen-printing method.
As soon as the person wearing the clothing starts to move, the first part comes into play and sends the resulting energy to the capacitor.
When sweating begins after the movement, the second part is activated, and the resulting energy is sent to the capacitor.

These different energies collected in the capacitor can charge the smartwatch on your wrist after 30 minutes of use.
I won't talk about the details of the study in detail here, but for those who are interested, you can read the links I left in the article and academic articles and news on the subject.
There have been such wonderful and similar developments recently.
What I understand from all this is that what we call fashion design is going somewhere beyond just giving different forms, different patterns, different textures, and colors to the fabric.
I find human-centered approaches to creating sustainable energy resources wonderful.
Do you want to charge your phone? Well, run for 30 minutes then. Perfect solution
Did you know these?
-University of California San Diego's 'Wearable Micro Sensors Center' Did you know that it is?
-I hope that collaborations or new departments that bring design and technology together will be established in the universities of our country.
Stay with love and peace
