A harmony of colors, textures, and differences.
A PERIOD OF BREAKDOWN
We are in a turning point in terms of trends.
Our preferences, habits, and aesthetic expectations have undergone a radical transformation in the recent past.
We are witnessing the emergence of new trends and a new aesthetic that will shape not just the next few seasons, but perhaps at least the next five years .
Between the pandemic, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality, we've reached a point where technology is increasingly pervading our lives; and design and living spaces are becoming increasingly mechanized.
Our sense of security has been damaged.
We are increasingly losing the subtle details, tactile experiences, craftsmanship, and the traces left by human hands that enrich our lives.
And now it seems we need to say "stop" to this trend at some point.
Because now we want not only to look good, but also to feel safe and valued .
We are moving from detail-less, simple, and sterile spaces to a more humane universe where details, textures, craftsmanship, and traces of the past regain value.
Rather than perfection, one who has character,
Rather than the feeling of mass production, we are seeking again the craftsmanship, the memory that resides rather than the novel.
It's not just about new colors, patterns, materials, or forms here.
What has changed is what we find beautiful and valuable.
Which emotions have we forgotten how to experience, and which ones do we long for?
WHO SETS THE TREND?
The trend report is essentially a reflection of the pulse of the street.
Because trends aren't created solely by designers, brands, or trend forecasting systems.
The real determining factor is the individual.
Street culture, lifestyles, cultures, economic conditions, technological transformations, and changing needs create new demands.
Trend reports are the outputs that make these demands visible.
Therefore, it cannot be expected that every geography, every culture, and every society will experience trends in the same way.
Especially in fashion and lifestyle trends, the human desire to explore, differentiate, and express oneself naturally makes differences valuable.
We can see this in the fact that global brands create different products and collections for different countries, or that global trend systems don't always yield the same results in local markets.
Therefore, when I say "we are at a turning point in trends," I am not just referring to an aesthetic change, but to a holistic transformation .
THE NEW PARADIGM OF CONSUMPTION
For the last 25 years, we have largely been living in a lifestyle centered on costs, based on producing more and consuming more.
However, we are now reaching the limits of this model.
The new era is based less on consuming more and more, and more on making conscious choices .
I don't want to have fifty pieces of clothing in my wardrobe whose contents are unclear.
Let's have five.
But I need to know what I'm wearing.
I don't want to have five sets of bed linens.
Let's have two.
But I need to know what a healthy and good night's sleep means.
Because we are entering an era where consuming without questioning will increasingly lead to a loss of status, while conscious consumption will gain value.
This transformation will change not only consumption patterns but also production patterns.
Therefore, it's not enough to interpret 2027 trends solely through new colors, patterns, and textures.
What's really changing is a way of perceiving things.
Understanding this perspective is critical to accurately interpreting the changes in both production and consumption patterns in the coming years.
PRODUCTION AND MARKETING APPROACHES ARE CHANGING.
In manufacturing trends, regardless of what you're producing, adopting a production principle based on trust and transparency is no longer a choice, but a necessity.
Consumers no longer want to know just how a product looks; they want to know what it's made of, how it's made, and what it promises them .
On the marketing side, we need to quickly move away from the approach of "making the bad look good."
The era of using design as an argument to make bad materials look good is over.
Simply labeling a cotton-polyester bedding set as "easy ironing" and downplaying the product's true quality is no longer a sustainable marketing strategy.
The era of selling products in stores in fancy packaging that market vendors wouldn't even put on their stalls is over.
Today's consumers look at the content, the story, and the truth before the packaging.
In the new era, brands need not only to look good, but to actually be good and to communicate this transparently .
2027 SPRING / SUMMER HOME TEXTILE TRENDS - EUPHORIA
Spring/Summer 2027
EUPHORIA
We're kicking off the Spring/Summer 2027 season with the most energetic theme.
A world that moves away from the simplicity of minimalism and the mechanical nature of modernism; a world that is more colorful, more textured, and more full of character.
An eclectic aesthetic where different colors, patterns, textures, and forms come together; giving a sense of maximalist richness at first glance, but without exaggeration, where each part serves the whole.
On one side, organic and decorative forms from the past, on the other, younger, modern, and geometric shapes.
On one hand, the imperfection of hand craftsmanship; on the other, the clarity of modern design.
On one side, memory; on the other, innovation.
2027 SPRING / SUMMER HOME TEXTILE TRENDS - EUPHORIA
EUPHORIA represents a new aesthetic where all these differences can coexist without conflict.
A world where colors warm our hearts, differences come together to form a whole, where we are not afraid of colors, where we don't hesitate to express ourselves, and where we rediscover the joy we have lost.
Here, color is not just a decorative element.
Color is the very essence of life energy.
THE EMOTIONS THAT EUPHORIA EMPHASIZES
Joy
Bravery
Trust
Peace
Balance
Believe in yourself.
Curiosity
Express yourself freely
PATTERN LANGUAGE
In this theme, we manage the design language along two main axes.
The meeting of the PAST and the PRESENT.
On one side, organic patterns that blend old and new, patterns that carry memory.
On the other hand, there are younger, more dynamic, and modern geometric forms.
These two languages come together to create the eclectic character of the theme.
PATTERN CHARACTER
Organic units
Romantic details
Lines that give a hand-drawn feel
Simplified interpretations of traditional motifs.
Geometric patterns
Amorphous forms
Line blocks
Modular compositions
Asymmetrical layouts
Irregularities that give the feeling of handcrafted work
TEXTURE & MATERIAL
In this theme, the aim in material selection is to support visual richness with a tactile experience.
Clean and contemporary surfaces are used alongside more characterful, natural, and slightly irregular textures.
MAIN INGREDIENTS
Natural fibers
Recycled natural fibers
Cotton
Textured / smooth surfaces
The latest meets natural and recycled ingredients.
TEXTURAL CHARACTER
Combining matte and glossy surfaces.
Using different tissues together
Cool touches
THE NEW BALANCE OF DESIGN
EUPHORIA's real strength lies not in saying a lot, but in its ability to say different things at once.
Geometric and organic.
New versus old.
Matte and glossy.
Regular versus irregular.
Minimal to maximal.
Craftsmanship and technology.
EUPHORIA should be understood not merely as a colorful and textured aesthetic, but as a new design concept where differences can coexist harmoniously .
The aesthetic understanding of the future is not based on a single truth, but on a balanced foundation where different truths can coexist.
I completed the trend report while listening to Fazıl Say's "Morning" album.
I'm leaving the link for those who want to listen.
Stay well and with love.
